Wood is from a tree that had to be removed South of the Estate House after a microburst destroyed several very old trees. Did not damage the house.
See the Info card attached that comes with this bowl of the Significant Trees of Monticello. Bowl does have a crack that has been repaired and will last forever.
Size is 5"W x 4" H with natural edge
