Wood is from a giant old poplar tree that was located not far from the current Museum Shop. This bowl is the best I have made of over 2 dozen bowls from this tree. It is called MINERAL poplar due to the soil it grew in and is the cause of all the awesome dark colors/streaks.
I am an approved turner for Montpelier Foundation and many of these bowls were sold via the Museum Shop to support the cause! 13" W x' H
